Welcome to VWwA 95vr6
According to the VW Multivan Spec brochure combined cycle is 8.9L per 100km.
I currently have T5 6sp manual 128kw and looking at buying a new T5 with the 6sp tiptronic, just want to know if there are any problems as well average fuel consumption, thanks.

I have a new 2007 Multivan 128kw 6 speed auto that I have had for a couple of months. I have been a bit disappointed with the fuel consumption which has been around 11.1l/100km. In the same type of driving I was getting less than 8l/100km in my T4 diesel 5 speed manual van.
One of the reasons it uses more fuel, especially around town, is because of the particulate filter I think, but the climate control and all the electronic gizmos don't help either.
The power and the transmission is fantastic but you pay for it at the bowser.

Thanks Ben.
I only found the site recently but I had a 1978 combi for many years and then a 2003 T4 that I traded on a new Multivan a month or two ago, so I am no stranger to VW vans.
The Multivan is certainly the best of my many cars by far but also the most expensive by far! I love driving it in any type of driving from country trips to city commuting but my wife is the main driver because my daily transport is 2006 BMW K1200GT motor bike.
Cool, its great to have a member that has a history with VWs humble van![]()

With my 6sp man i am getting 8.6-9L/100k using DP tuning module. All up it weighs 2490kg,
It is a double door swb transporter, DP module comes from Berrima Diesel. It improves power and torque from 128kw-400nm to 155kw-455nm.
