They'll fit just fine.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has fitted these wheels? I think they'd look good, but I haven't seen any with them fitted. I assume coming of an Amarok, they are load rated ok. Any opinions very much welcome...

Wondering can someone advise,are 245/65 R17 111T's legal?
The only size listo my placad for 17' is 235/55...
Would the spre fit? I 've read som pple are having to deflat/jack them in etc.
I'm a bit beyond useless with most things car related...
Tire Size Comparison
The 245/65 will be taller/bigger by 8.5% over the 235/55. Your speedo saying 100 will actually have you travelling 108.5 if everything else is accurate. You may also find some rubbing issues on bumps or full left/right lock.
Amarok is a 4x4 and will generally have bigger spec tyres for the same rim size than a van.
Used to have to jack up the spare wheel carrier on our older T5 it was the only way to get the bolt to start that held the spare in place . Not sure about the size you have mentioned with legality , thats the tricky part if your involved in an accident where you are at fault . Insurance companies love to reject claims if you vehicle doesnt comply which could leave you in a bad place .
Firstly, I'm no mechanic or engineer. That aside, according to this site Tire Size Calculator you are talking about a 58mm diameter increase in tyre size which equals 29mm increase in ride height. Importantly this is a 8.5% tyre size increase as noted to the largest size on the placard. According to this site 4X4 suspension modification laws; 'Suspension Manual' published - Pat Callinan's 4X4 Adventures "Changes in the diameter of the wheel and tyre combination of up to +/- 7% of the largest size specified by the vehicle manufacture" this will require engineers report in NSW. Unsure on other state laws. From my few NSW engineer experiences I would think for about 5-700$ an engineer would likely approve this as long as you can show your tyre doesn't scrub at all going over bumps etc. That part I'm not sure on, on stock suspension on a T5 what is the exact tyre size and rim ET you can go without scrubbing? Any easy mods to allow a larger tyre e.g. guard rolling?
If you already have 17inch tyres on you van, then for roughly about 60$ you could get each of them fitted to the Amarok rims. $75 bucks for 5 tyres strip and fit if you get a set of 5 rims which is what I would want to do. Depends on wheel shop you might get a different price.
I also want to do the Amarok wheels at some point, probably the 'Aldo' I like the look of, though it's low on priority list.
Good luck
