Hi all, I have a 2011 T5 4 motion 132Kw fitted with the factory diff lock. It works a treat. Downside is if you are running road tyres you don't get the full benefit also you have to remember to engage it BEFORE you get bogged. I've done it! Have to anticipate the need.
    cheers

I do a fair bit of towing, motorcycle trailer, 17' caravan. Don't go off the tarmac very often. I decided when I ordered it to get the diff locks in lieu of the electric doors, both around $1600. It was partly with resale in mind but it is nice knowing it's there if I need it.
I upgraded the towing capacity of the van to 2750Kg and 250Kg on the ball. Couple of grands worth of engineering but just find it is a really good towing unit for the space it affords in the vehicle with all the rear seats removed.
    cheers

Thanks for all your replies, picked up this van last week, used with low ks, 4 motion and diff lock! Look forward to some great times.
Getting some rest seats fitted, next week.

    Hi pjondeck,
how did you get your towing capacity upgraded, do you know where can I get this done in Melbourne? Need to tow a large trailer and also want to carry a motorcycle rack that fitts into towbar, would need to upgrade towball weight for this also
