For what I found on internet it could be a brake issue, vacuum line/check valve/leak or even a whole brake module issue .
This van has only 45k and few issues already (water pump/electric doors), VW quality
Hi guys,
I have a T5.2 TSI I have a weird issue from time to time, and since I changed the tyres last month (I dont know if it s related). When I try to start the car, the key does not turn fully, it asked me to press the brake as usual but the brakes are locked/too stiff, I cannot press the pedal, I have to remove the key & turn the driving wheel to be able to start the van.
What do you think it could be ?Thank you

How long have you had van? I only ask because it sounds as though the steering lock is on, which must be released before you can turn ignition on and depress brake pedal (i.e. normal). Apologies if my assumption is incorrect, diagnosis via written form can be hard.
6 years.
I had to bring it to the workshop yesterday my wife was stranded one hour (I called a tow but manage to start it after a while).
And of course the van was starting without issue at the workshop
