T5.2 Steering wheel retro-fit from non mfsw to mfsw with paddles

    Hello all,
Does any one know the procedure for fitting a MFSW with Paddles to a T5.2 that originaly had no MFSW, i know the retro fit for a car with a MFSW to MFSW with paddles is just a coding change, but i think there's more to it when you try and fit one that had a plain jane wheel.
I saw a thread where Sharkie was playing with one a year ago, but it doesn't go anywhere, any updates??
A full VCDS scan shows no steering wheel control module.
    Any idea's

All depends on your BCM, wether it supports it or not.
Steering wheel is located in 09 central electronics long coding.

Do you know what the bcm part numbers are that support it or don't support it?

Unfortunately not and the people who do know seem awfull secretive about it.
I do know that there's 3 levels, low line, mid line and high line.
BCM's ending in 089 are low, 086 is mid and 087 is high, mine was 086 and didn't support cruise so I changed it to a 087 and now my cruise works.
I also have a MFSW from a Passat but so far only the radio buttons work...................still issues I'm working through.
There seems to be very little help out there for these types of mods.

I'd help you if I could.....but I was lucky that my van was plug n play for the paddle steering wheel. No coding was required.
