Better to ask forgiveness than to seek approval...
Personally, I wouldn't bother because I haven't found plain old van tyres (I run 205/70R15's) to let me down yet even in some somewhat mad situations.
Hello all,
Just thought I'd get some other opinions on this...
I've been looking into the rules and regulations concerning modifying wheels and tyres legally and was wondering if I would be able to get away with my T4 Syncro being a "4WD commercial vehicle". If so there would be a much better choice of tyres I can fit...
Legally on a passenger vehicle the ADR's state +15mm on OD and +30% on width, but 4WD commercial is +50mm and +50%.
I would really like to fit either BFG T/A KO's or Cooper A/T3's both being above the +15mm but under the +50mm...

That's the conclusion I am heading towards now Seano...
Just had a full set of Maxxis 215/65/R16's fitted and they have a pretty aggressive tread pattern anyway!
