I had a new rear outer boot fitted only a few months back by the dealer......and it was generic off the shelf thing.....it fit perfectly. So I suspect there will be alternatives for the inner boot as well.
I was talking to the parts guy at the dealership where he confirmed that the Syncro components are very reliable. Even though there are quite a few around there hasn't been any call on spare parts. He did say though that the inner drive shaft boot was NLA as a separate part, you need to buy the complete axle if yours has a split. I dont see this as a big problem because in this position they would normally last a very long time compared with the front outer boot for example. The thing we all need to be aware of though is not to drive over any sticks or wire etc that could tear the boot. I hate to think what a complete drive shaft would cost.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

That's good news. The after market have obviously stepped in quickly to fill a hole.
