T4 steering rack

Yeah, if the boot is full of fluid the seal has failed on the rack shaft.

I'll pull the racks out, but I sublet the rebuilds to a place in Sydney. It's around $400 to do.

SGS in Sydney have second hand racks for $290, and pumps for $220.

A friend rebuilt his & purchased all the parts from Re-Car. From memory it wasn't a kit but individual parts.
