Hi to everyone.
I have a T4 1994 model, that is every mechanics nightmare. Not may will work on them, and those that do want to charge like a wounded bull. I am a self taught (with help of parents) in home mechanics, and I do know quite a bit after owning more than 70 cars over 30 odd years, and having done ground up restorations on a lot of them.
And this vehicle does scare me!!!!!
Such a lot of wiring, and such a lot under the bonnet, in very tight and cramped space. Its almost a joke to look at.
The interior coolong fan suddenly stopped working 2 days ago. After doing a return trip down the notorious , rough and bumpy Olympic highway between Wagga and Albury.
I have chacked all of the fuses at the fuse box on the drivers side under the dash. They are all ok. I have dropped the fuse box down, and noticed a couple of loose leads. Don't know what they are to, as I do not have a workshop manual, nor a wiring schematic diagram. I have reomeved the switch and measured it, it is okay. I have found that there is no 12 volt supply reaching the switch. So my thought is, possibly a supply lead has come adrift some where.
I do need a working fan on my truck, as I am out west and it gets hot out here without the AirCon working.
I am travelling to Wollongong tomorrow for about 5 days, if anyone knows of any reasonably priced people that can fix it. Or maybe someone has an idea on what I should look for.
Does anyone know of where I can get a workshop manual for one of these at a reasonable price?
Thanks David.
I have sent you a PM.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.
