T4 AET Idle at start up

Hi all ,
I have just got hold of two T4 Transporters , both with AET motors and they both idle high on start up when cold .

They idle at about 1100 rpm for a few minutes then drop down to normal ...........Is this a common problem and does anyone know what it could be ?

Pretty sure there's an idle control solenoid on these. Probably needs the pintle cleaned and the mechanism lubed.

Also give the intake and throttle body a throrough clean.

Normal startup, will run richer and faster when cold
