i'd be interested in the switch setup if u don't mind devuldgeing the brand or supplier as I only need to collect a few more bits to complete my system before installation. Its interesting to read comments about economy on petrol, I find pulp is definatly less efficant but burns cleaner (longer plug life) , std 91 or 95 ulp I get between 680 to 720klms out of a 80L tank. Mine is a 95-T4-LWB 2.5L Petrol-5 SPD, 16'' 205 & 225 50/55 series tyres. I think I could get a little bit more if I drive a bit more conservatively. That's 50/50 city / highway between Melbourne & Mildura towing my car caddy with a bug. A bit slow at times bit it seems to pull best around the 3 to 4 grand rpm range so maintaining that rpm at about 100 to 110klms seems to work. Can anyone tell me if they have seen a donut style lpg tank mounted where the spare wheel goes as that's what i'm looking at as far as placement so I don't restrict ground clearance in front of the rear axle.

that's pretty good economy towing something, but my engine sits of around 3100rpm at 100kph. Carravells are higher geared. Donut tank was an option for me, but decided against it. They are quite expensive, so ebay for a second hand one?
I'll find out the switch gear for you.

First tank done. 600km of 70% urban and 30 country got 96lt of fuel used. I have been driving harder than I usually would a lot of the time and cruising the rest. It works out to 16l/100km, which is 3lt/100km more than petrol. For some strange reason LPG has just shot up to 90c/lt.

OK, this will likely be the last post in this thread as few seem interested. However I would have appreciated this information so I'll make the record complete.
I have done a few more tank fulls of LPG now. The T4 DOKA gets 15.8l/100km of lpg at 90 cents per liter. In dollar terms filling the LPG tank costs the same as the petrol *used* to cost when 95RON cost $1.56l. In this regards $95 of LPG gets me 670km and $95 of 95RON PULP used to get a range of 450km. So a 33% increase in range per dollar.

Ten tanks of LPG and all mixed urban 70% and country 30%. LPG fuel economy spot of 16l/100km over 10 tanks.
