I need to tackle this job on my son,s car asap, but have a few questions before i start. Firstly, is there a decent tutorial i can download to help me through it?
the few youtube clip show lining up TDC first before undoing the crank and cam bolts, would it not be easier to undo first, the find TDC?
the clips show using a rattle gun to undo the crank and cam bolts, but i read people needing extra pipe on sockets for leverage?
i believe the belt tensioner is tricky to adjust, are there any tips?
appreciate any advice!
eric
I changed my sons one a few years back but the engine was out of the van at the time , from memory it was not that hard to do . The tensioner was a bit of well yep that feels fine and it worked out spot on . I did the water pump at the same time . I honestly don't remember having to do much more than ensuring the timing marks all were the same as when removed .
