T4 2.4 D - tap tap tap = vacuum pump

I went into VW on the Gold Coast yesterday and got a price on the vacuum pump - you want 'ouch', try $1200 Even the parts guy suggested trying the wreckers.

Was the one you got an original VW part? And where did your mechanic get it from?

HI every one I,m new ha ha, I have a 2.4 T4 and I too have the tap tap on the pump went to VW Newcastle upon tyne that is, 28 pound for a rod for it £270 for a pump. On ebay there is a guy selling them new for £95 i do believe. dont know how good they are but revues are ok so take it as it is.

There is a guy on ebayUK at present with a genuine vacuum pump, buy it now, for 100pounds + 15 postage.
