I'm here, must clean out my inbox. You could try imparts on 1300467278, they may be able to supply some items.
I wouldn't be too hopeful in getting all the parts in Oz though unless someone is privately bringing them in.
I have bought some kits from the UK that have been listed on ebay UK. One kit for our 16V polo, that has two belts, tensioners, idlers etc.[twice the parts that you are looking for] that turned out to be genuine VW. The cost was 35 pounds + 25 pounds postage with tracking.
Thats around $100 all up at todays exchange rate. There was someone on the Aust ebay that wanted $478 IIRC + postage for the same thing.
To avoid being ripped off, get the postage cost BEFORE buying.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

    Hey mate,
You can get any part for your T4 through HSY Autoparts or Tooley imports locally - yes, even the 1.9 Diesel engine. Tooley imports are competitively priced but it really helps when you call them to have a bit of an idea what you want (part number is bliss) and a credit card at the ready. HSY's phone customer service is a bit better I feel, but you still need to know what your asking for. HSY will do you e-mail order too. I have found imparts a tad on the pricey side.

The temp sender will be either on the front or side of the head. Being a '91, I can't tell you for sure if it will have multiple temp senders on the front of the head or not, but I'm pretty sure it will - likely 2. One is for the glow plug relay, and the other will be fore the gauge. If there do not appear to be any senders on the front of the head (in the plastic radiator top hose outlet) then you might have to look on the gearbox end where the heater hose comes out - could be in there (again depending on the vintage, I am unsure what it should be).

BTW - awesome sounding van! 2 sliders and barn doors - can't beat that for practicality!

    Thanks heaps

I have a sender in the lh end of the head that appears to operate the oil pressure light ,also one in the heat exchanger behind the oil filter two seperate ones in that manifold thingo on the front ,one has two wires the other four ,iv tried shorting the two wires together on the two wire senders with no response from the guage ,thinking the 4 wire must be two senders in one so have to work out which pair is which ,thinking now that maybe im not waiting long enough for it to respond ,im expecting it to shoot up like a fuel guage but possibly its a bit slower the ones in the head and exchanger are one wire and when shorted to earth the head one the oil light and the other [the one in the exchanger] dousnt seem to do anything could be to the glow plug relay ,thanks for the tipo supliers i rang around that was coupla mths ago now and got no response got onto my local supliers for bmw and merc stuff ,both said the vin came back dousnt exist ,so got frustrated and went overseas with the exchange rate the price wasnt to bad ,il have a bit more of a fiddle with the temp guage thanks again PUGS

I have a complete brake setup that you can bolt straight on to the front and can do you power steer too if you wish.
Call me at work and I`ll sort you out.
Good work on saving the beast, sounds like a good un.

I'd get onto tooleys or Matt with the part numbers of both senders on the plastic water outlet on the front of the head and just replace both on them, if they aren't too expensive.

on the turbo version of your engine (aaz) the sender on the oil filter housing is a pressure sender, as is the one on the end of the head. Both of them operate the warning light on the dash. I would guess its the same on your engine....

I'm not certain but I think your engine code should be 1Y.
