squeeling noise from steering

My t5 1.9 tdi has some squeeling noise while driving.
I could drive for about half an hour or so before it starts the noise.
While I drive i tap the brakes and stops for a second or so and then continues.
If i drive in a straight line it becomes more apparent
I've checked the calipers and all fluids but seem fine....lots of brake dust though i got rid of that but still same problem.
If any1 knows about this I'd be greatly appreciated

Have you cheked the pads uneven wear could result in one pad being fine but its opposite one could be worn more you may have to remove pads for a visual inspection , one other tiny possibility check for a small rock caught behind some part had this once and had to reverse to get rid of it as it had been flicked up after leaving a gravelly property .
