    Sliding door fly screens T5 Van

    Gday fellas.
    Does any one have any recommendations for a fly screen to fit the left hand sliding door on my T5 LWB van?
    I know of 'Gear to go' but they want $450 onwards which is a bit steep. Ill pay it if I have to but want to see other options.
    Thanks for any advice.
    Ken

    I bought one of those ebay ones from supplier sscampervans for $269 including postage and I am happy enough with it. I haven't given it a good work out yet to test the zippers so should have a better review after summer. They don't seem to be selling the Transporter version any more according to their current ebay listings?

    To install it I found a little tricky, definitely needing 2 persons as mentioned in the instructions. So...after I found that 2nd person...you have to remove the sliding door seal and tuck the screen under that as you replace it. I had trouble keeping the tension on the screen going around the curves - especially on the last one. There is no seal at the bottom but the tension seems to keep it in place and there is nothing to trip over as you get in and out the van. Mine is usually rolled up and it does reduce the head room by 200mm which is a pain for me at around 6 foot and it reduces the width by about 100mm at the left and the right. While you can remove the screen I wouldn't want to...not after the effort getting it on. Also having trimmed off the extra after installing I am not sure it would go back on now.

    I originally wanted to buy one of the Top Gear 2 Go versions but at the then $440 + postage I couldn't justify it. Apparently it uses magnets rather than zippers and there is also a seal at the bottom. I can't compare the 2 versions without seeing/trying one.

    I have also purchased their internal drivers and passengers door window insect screens. Some notes are posted here;
