Red face Side Mirror on Transporter

Hi All, managed to shatter the passenger side mirror on my 2007 four motion Transporter. Can anyone tell me if a after market mirror is available or where I could obtain a second hand mirror? I only need the front glass. I managed to restore the rest of it. Thanks Westy.

I would look on ebay, they're available from UK, make sure you get one with the heater element, unless you still have a black plastic plate that mirror is glued to unbroken.

Thanks Transporter. The backing plate is intact. I just need the glass. Westy.

As an idiot who has forgotten several times to watch more carefully when reversing , I can tell you VW have different prices by as much as $60 I broke one on my T5 and it was around $116 then some months later my wife broke one [not her fault got sideswiped by cement truck ] and it was $160 I questioned why two parts should be so much different the guy explained it may have had the heater element in it but apparently mine did not have the element . To be quite honest I cannot tell the difference in any conditions between the two vans mirrors .There are plenty available on Ebay check here http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_t...at=0&_from=R40

Did the same thing on a pillar in a carpark...bought a new glass on the bay for $40 posted from the UK. They pop out very easily, just angle the mirror straight down and you can pop it off with your fingers...then just disconnect the heater connectors and fit the new one!

    simple!!
