    Shocks/springs compatability between T5's

    Hi All,
I have a 2006 SWB T5. I have been offered a really good deal on shocks and springs that were pulled from a new 2014 T5.
My understanding is that the springs and shocks should be compatible with my 2006 T5, but can anyone here confirm that?

Also any ideas on what I can expect to pay to have the shocks and springs installed by a mechanic?
I am near Brookvale, NSW if anyone can recommend someone.

    Cheers.

Should be as I did that with my wife's new T5 pulled out the stock parts and fitted Bilsteins B14'sand then used the stock gear to fit to my 2005 T5 no problem at all . Made a huge differences as the original shocks etc had deteriorated so slowly over 250.000kays that you sort of not notice until the new stuff is in . I did the job myself just a small amount of swearing and a couple of skinned knuckles .

Thanks. I was also considering having a crack myself at installing everything but figured that considering I am getting a deal I should just fork out the $150-200 to get a mechanic to install everything.

    Engine determines what's compatible.

5 cylinder diesel will have harder front springs and shocks than say, a 4 cylinder petrol.

I can recommend Safety Service Centre at 1 Currie Rd, Forestville. Mark, the owner, does all the servicing on my 2008 T5 and just fitted Bilstein B14's for me. BTW I have a front set of B6's with about 20K on them for sale.

    Best
