Running battery cable through firewall help required

Hi, adding a dual battery to a 2007 T5,
Does anybody have a suggestion on where I can run the battery wire from the start battery and through the firewall to under the drivers seat,

Remove the black metal plate behind the battery, there is a grommet in the fire wall, that you can run the wire through.

Here is the picture. I fed the wire through the cavity in the inner guard starting closer to the headlight, rather than drilling through that black plate.
