Just wondering if I really need to replace the rotors.
The front rotor has a 1.5mm lip on the outside and a 2mm lip on the inside.
Is this worn enough to replace, or do they have a little more life left in them?
    They have done 75,000kms.

Personally i would replace rotors every time i did pads its not that much more than having them machined

Rda is Chinese made and some have good reviews and some bad so i steer clear

Go ate or zimmerman ect a bit more but peace of mind after all they are the only thing that will stop you from having a crash!

The discs if originals are pretty soft metal I was told that VW like to make them that way so as to give a certain "feel "to the pedal pressure , 1.5 mm is not a good amount to leave on the van , rotors are getting cheaper these days and as Kachingg said replace them with the pads for safety and peace of mind . The last set I bought from GSL Rallysport have lasted close to 100000 kays so far and are still in good condition .

That means they're at least 3.5mm thinner than new.

    I'd still replace them.

The likes of RDA, DBA, and the like, are a harder steel which is great for longevity, but will knock the edge off the braking perfomance, as well as being quite prone to brake shudder once they've had some heat in them.

I've got DBA solids on the front after their drilled and slotted discs warped after about two weeks.
The solids are fine with softer pads and I hurtle down Bulli Pass every day.

I didn’t have any problems with the DBA disc on my T5 4mo. Though the RDA discs lasted max. 20,000km so, I wouldn’t put the RDA and DBA in the same bag, they’re definitely better quality product and I didn’t notice any changes in braking performance.

Just hoping I can get a few votes on the best rotor and pad option listed above, as I am being indecisive!
I'm not too concerned about cost since it is only $320 between the cheapest and dearest option, but is the dearest option the best?
    Thanks in advance.

I have got ate ceramic pads and zimmerman discs (same quality as ate) and am extremely happy with them price is pretty much what you have been quoted that is the option i would go for personally reading around the forums ate has a good solid reputation and is recommended by some of our mechanic forum members
If you want longer wear and don't track your car or thrash it every weekend up in the hills consider ate ceramics last almost twice as long kinder on rotors as it puts a buildup of ceramic on the rotor so its ceramic vs ceramic for braking they have a nice feel to them just be aware they have about a 500 kilometer wear in period as they bed in and get a coating on the rotor

Also ceramic have almost no brake dust ! clean alloys with a quick hose off no more scrubbing wheels
