    What do you plan to view it with? Does it come with a screen?

    They won't work with RNS510/RCD510 if thats what your thinking unless you use a video converter which costs more than the camera. RNS/RCD510 uses RGB input.

    I have a similar camera in my Skoda and view it on a cheap chinese RNS510 knock off. It works Ok in good light. Poor at night or facing direct into sun. Plastic started to crack on camera after 18 months, but still works.

    Our T5 was missing a radio..so have just installed a Pioneer AVH2450BT. Radio reception is crap but thats another story. Has the connection for the reverse camera to plug straight in.

    We have 3 Chinese units in our 3 vans all with reverse cameras they work fine as was pointed out there are some light situations where quality is compromised but its not a major issue for us night time is quite good as they have infared enabled .And I also agree there is something unusual about T5,s when you remove the factory units radio reception is then lousy , {not that I listen to radio that much}. I have tried to use an FM booster no luck also checked to see if the antenae cable has some sort of booster built in but found none the only thing I can think of is that there is some sort of boosting signal built in to the factory units I may be wrong but its all I can think of . This where my camers is mounted it is set so I can see the very rear edge of the bumper when reversing but as its sort of wide angled it gives a good field of view.

    I've just purchased a camera that replaces the number plate light and have a couple of questions;

    - Any tips on what's the easiest way to run the video cable to the head unit? I'm thinking to run it under the roof trim just above the side windows.

    - Confirming that i will need to drill a hole next to the number plate light to get the cable into the boot carcass?

    - Are the reverse light +/- wires easy to locate and crimp onto?

    Yes, down the passenger side. Good luck getting it through the rubber tube between the rear door and roof!!

    You need to make some space in there yes, I just demeled a bit out for the cable to pass through.

    I picked up off the rear wiper motor, pretty simple.

    Is the centre console plastic surround only held in with clips? Just trying to work out how much of the dash i need to pull apart to get the head unit out.
