Replacement Battery for 2012 T5.1

Looks like the original battery is in the way out in my van.
What replacements have people been putting in these vans here in Aus?
How is 5 years for the original these days? (I had 8 years from the original in an '82 T3.)

After top grade Varta, the BOSCH S5 is a good choice. You can also fit a bigger battery there.

(I put a compressor next to the battery so there is no room at all for a larger battery. Didn't even THINK of the possibility at the time. )

Hmm, bit on a smaller side. There is a reason why diesel vehicles have a battery with a higher CCA capacity.

Maybe I need to be looking for a new auto electrician as well
Had hoped I didn't need to double check a paid professional.

Haven't noticed any problems since then. What could the effects of this be?

Cars like that need AGM batteries and buying one with higher CCA will ensure it will last longer. For your 2012 T5 these 2 are good, 730 and 760CCA. The higher spec one sells at the moment for $199 at SuperCheapAuto, but confirm again as well as the size too.

Thanks. Was at Battery world a day or so back and they told me Century batteries are actually re badged Varta batteries. That should be a positive.
On the other hand, with batteries, with every positive you always get a negative😂.
