Regassing the Ac on a multivan
With summer coming my Ac is pants! Is there anytbing special about the multivan when it comes to regassing? Or is it as simple as regassing a normal car? I have the rear Ac as well.
Thanks in advance.

Depends, if it is OE, dealer fitted, or aftermarket system, if DTC codes list for system pressure "lower limit exceeded" then yes it will be low or out of refrigerant. That means leaks will have to fixed. "Regassing" is pretty much a term from before the 90s, service & or repair now. As far as a/c service a VW is fairly conventional, though they do have their own peculiarities for repairs & parts.

Not just anywhere, a reputable a/c specialist, preferably who knows the T5. There is any number of things to go wrong, but a common problem is the rear system parts leaking, in my own I have blanked off the rear pipe connections because rear is not needed, to fix would have needed camper furniture removed, rear heat shielding, silencer etc. With that blanked off the a/c has been cold now since done in 2016. In Europe they have problems with corroded pipes under the rh rear wheel arch.
