Rear power socket / leisure battery

I have bought a T5 Multivan and there is no power at the rear 12v socket.
Can anyone out there tell me if this is normal without the leisure battery?
I have a photo of the electrics under the passenger seat below...

Can you members with a leisure battery tell me if your battery is connected into any of the terminals you see on the picture?
I want to fit a leisure battery and would like to do it as VW do it.
    Thanks Rob

Not that I can help with your problem... but what's with the bolt in the yellow socket?

I've never used mine Rob, but I just checked it, and no power here either
    2006 Highline
I can't see the point of having one in there and no power
Anyone know of a simple way to connect it up, could come in handy occasionally
I don't want to put a second battery in, although it did cross my mind when the last one couldn't handle the new sound gear
And so does this mean the mag code socket at the back isn't powered either?

If you have wiring connected to the socket, check the fuses first. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f136...tml#post482586

If everything OK let me know and I'll see if I could find the wiring diagram.

    Thanks Transporter,
I will check the fuses tomorrow but the power is to the middle socket so i would imagine that the fuse is in good order.
Just had a look at a friends Multi in the UK (via photos) and there seems to be quite a few fuses under the seat on his that mine dont have.
    Cheers again Rob

    Rob,
My Multivan is the Highline, and has rear power in the cargo bay, as well as two cig lighter style sockets in the side mouldings in the middle. All have power at all times (even whenthe key is out).

    Transporter,
Does this info help you with any more info on the wiring of a T5 leisure battery?

Yes, after I saw it I dropped the idea of installing the solenoid and installed under the passenger bench seat this baby (Projecta 12V to 12V charger).

Installing second battery in T5 (How to.)

and 240V/1000W pure sine wave inverter.

This smaller but still 20A 12V-12V charger is made by Redarc and is going to be fitted in the Touareg.

If you have a solar panel, Redarc has a newer version that also has a solar panel input.

How did you go? Is it fixed, was it just a fuse? Let me know if you need a wiring diagram.
