Radio Reception

Wanted to ask... Radio reception in MY11 Caravelle seems a little hit and miss. I live on outskirts of Brisbane.... and have trouble locking into Brisbane stations. Yet everytime I get another car from the dealer... Tiguan and this week a Passat.. they pick up Brisbane stations perfectly. Those two cars have the better stereo systems, a smaller footprint in car size etc but I am fairly sure both also have their aerials but into the back windscreen. Now the our Carvalle is big box and a different window angle etc as you know.... anyone else have an issue with FM reception?

MY11 Multivan in Brisbane and have no problems at all with reception. Tested RCD310, RCD510 and RNS510, all perfect reception except inside Chermside's underground parking ....

What radio is in the Caravelle, a RC210 or a RCD310? Also, may be worthwile checking the antenna connection, it could be loose.

Its the standard one that comes with it. In Brisbane its fine... when I say outskirts.. try about and hour and half west but certainly high enough to get FM from Brisbane. Gonna check out another one in stock at the dealer and see if it picks up no problem... then I guess i know that there is a problem in ours.
