$1000 is possibly a bit cheap. But if your happy with that it should be a quick sale.
I took off my set of 16" Alloys with nearly brand new tyres (about 500km) from my brand new T5.2 Multivan
No scraches etc, tyres are the stockies Bridgestone Duravis 215 65 16. Would these fit the other Transporters, Caraville etc since they are built on the same platform? How about the T4 vans? are they 5x120 as well?
If so, anyone seen these selling around? If I list them for sale for about 1k, does it sound too greedy?
I am talking about these wheels

You may get over $1000 if your very lucky. Realistically max $600. Who wants 16" when you can get 17-18-19" wheels that fit. As a result prices for 16" are not that strong.
I just watched a set of 17" with 5000km reach $478 on ebay on their second listing. First time they only got to $160.

No offence to any one here but if the van has 16,s as fitted whats wrong with that from my experience the larger the diameter the rim the smaller profile in tyre end result a rough ride with eventual increase in stress on the suspension and body etc . Take a look at some of the cars out there riding on rubber bands if you have ever ridden in one you would know how uncomfortable they are . My personal preference is more rubber better ride with out the high cost some of these low profile tyres can cost . Please remember this is my own personal feelings on tyre size . Howard
doesn't the t5 rims have a different pcd to the t4's?
Yes Rob I will admit I hit the key board before realizing that yes VW do offer the various sizes so the vans would be fine up to those sizes . But I would not be advocating going beyond those approved sizes for the reasons stated . Now errics you are right the T5,s wont swap over to T4 . I can tell you that if you are in the market for non VW wheels for a T5 Holden Crewman One Tonner wheels from the VY VZ series will fit straight on you will need some thin spacers for correct centralizing when they are fitted . Howard
Thanks everyone for the useful info.
I might just try to list it on the for sale section when I reach the 90 days requirement and take whatever offered...
I think it shouldnt bee too hard to sell as I see a lot of Caraville and Transporters rocking around in steel wheels. So if this is a set of neat alloy with nearly brand new tyres in good price then why not?
Thanks anyway
