Isopon metal primer.
Make sure you use an automotive paint if you want to match the original paint finish and spray over it.
About to do the cut outs for some windows. Wondering what people have been using to prime the raw metal edges. I was just going to use Metal Primer with added Fisholene. That's what I normally do on metal around the house and it seems to work pretty well. Thoughts welcome.
Thanks

I used a swimming pool paint called Swift Vulc made by Mcleod paints , its a chlorinated rubber paint that dries to a complete water proof seal . Most of my fellow sunroof installers around Australia have been using this for over thirty years as we cut the holes in car roofs for sunroofs so it has to be pretty good to seal off the cut metal edge .
Thanks for the suggestions. Went with the Swift Vulc as I found that easier to buy. Only problem it has, not supposed to apply it above 25 degrees. I've just waited till about 7pm when it has cooled down.
Thanks again, Bruce CQ.
Now you tell me , I had not read the can EVER , it does dry pretty damn fast though which I why I use it .
That's funny. I have a habit of reading all the instructions these days after oiling the the timber in my house with Cabots Danish Oil 37 years ago. On the lid they used to print in big letters "IF ALL ELSE FAILS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS". I notice they don't have it anymore, maybe the instructions don't really matter........
