    Oil Leak

    Hi All,

Interested if anyone can advise what these bits are, they look like sensors to me, but I am not sure.

It looks like there is oil leaking from through or around the top one if that is possible?

I could not see any oil above this part, not enough to be literally dripping off the wire as you can just see about to happen.

    Thanks

    Michael

Yes, it looks like a bit of the oil leak. Clean it and see if it re-appears.

Although it is a little hard with the coolant pipes running this way and that, I can't see any oil above this point in any amount that would cause it to drip as it does. After the car is off depending on the surface creates a nice little pool of oil.

What are these parts to replace?

Are you heading up north any time soon Transporter?

Oil pressure sensors by the looks of them. Give it a wash and recheck to save you from replacing the wrong one.

Not for the next 2 weeks. The leak is most likely from the top oil pressure switch and it just drips into the one bellow.

Bummer, now the power steering is playing up.

Can you suggest what to check for the symptoms of losing fluid and a smokey smell?
