    Angry NOISE! near seatbelt

hey ive got a rattling and sometimes squeeking noise coming from the pillar between the passenger and rear sliding door. I have taken the plastic moulds and adjustable seat belt part off to expose the pillar. I originally thought it was coming from behind the seat belt but have realised the sound echoes and therefor could possibly be coming from anywhere. My question is has anyone had this problem and can give me some info as it is impossible to see inside the pillar and it is driving me insane! if not does anyone know how I could sound proof it?

There shouldn,t be anything inside the actual pillar I would suggest getting someone to sit on the back floor with the cover trims off and try and isolate the noise . Last desperate option would be to use some of that space filler foam that will stop any rattle but if its a squeak that may not work .

Hey thanks mate I have tried that and it unfortunately seems impossible. I think the expander foam is the only way around it but I'm scared if that doesn't fix it I have shot myself in the foot..... may not have another option though unfortunately

Try checking outside the van I get a rattle in mine which sounds like its near the roof , I did discover that due to an earlier broken side door mirror I never got round to buying the last surround bezel , so at speed the outer part rattles like a bastard . Check under the floor outside grab hold of things and test , it was this test that also lead to me finding out the catalytic converter was stuffed in mine .

I had the sliding door rattling a little on mine. There is slight adjustment in the roller mounts and the locating cone piece IIRC.
If the noise is from there, that is.
