Out of interest remove battery connection and leave for a minute or two it may reset things , also check all your fuses these days I find that one component will have several fuses for different reasons .
Hey guys,
Was fiddling around with my fob today changing the old to a new one with the key ring on it.
Had to start my T5 while the key was still in pieces so carried it all out and the van just turned on than stalled (assuming was just transponder not close enough). Anyway fixed the key and started the van and was driving and the head unit doesn't turn on at all, checked a couple of the fuses which i think were the correct ones and none have blown.
Anyone have any ideas at all?
Cheers.

All fixed! Was wired to behind the headlight switch. Dodgy soldering and had just came loose.
Easy fix!

I take it this was an aftermarket one as I cannot imagine why wires were soldered behind or onto light switch .
