    New T6

I've be waiting with baited breath to see who posts the first one up on here...... But alas no new t6 owners.

My local dealer has just gotten the first 2 in. A LWB 4 motion and SWB standard both DSG.
They do have a different look but pretty much just more of the same as the T5.2
    Here's a few pics I snapped of the 4motion.

    nice cardboard battery cover

I enquired about a trade on the 4motion but was only offered 11k for my '11 T5.2 SWB DSG with 90k on it.....
    I think I'll wait.

Thieving mongrels ? no that is criminal behaviour only 11k for a 2011 I think I will find corner and cry a bit for you . Not sure how the upgrades look from photos may have to have a gander at locals VW around here . I wonder how long the cardboard wrapper will last around the battery at least on the first T5,s you got a proper lid on the battery compartment which they conveniently left off the T5.1 upgrade along with a host of other parts for that matter . Nice find by the way Foxpuppet .

As for Multivan pricing, not very exciting: base price is the same, cheapest higher-output engine is $75k, cheapest 4-motion is $80K. Equipment levels the same as before except for some driving aids /electronics. Adaptive Suspention not available on Comfortline.
    I think I'll wait too.

I was sorely tempted, but I pick up my new run-out T5 on Saturday. Not really much difference except for the price, I think.

What the dealership offers as a trade in value, is basically what you could shift it for in the private market for if you doubled it.

They're not a charity. They're in it to make a profit.

On a brighter note, the T6, (or is it T5GP2?) looks good. Gonna have to look at one up close, and dream about owning it.

Why no TDI400 Crewvan...again... Local MB dealer has a Vito Crewvan with 140kW for $68K driveaway. with lots of options...but I'm still drawn to a T6 because of the slightly larger rear opening for forklift loading...but merc has conventional 7spd auto...not fair....

Pretty sure, as per previously, you can option it with side windows and rear seat.

Can usually arrange these things at dealer level, or even better, save a fair whack of money and get it done yourself after you pick it up.

After browsing the spec sheets it seems no petrol engines this time , which flies in the face of several motoring reports earlier in the year which said a 2.0 turbo petrol was on the list of engines available . A bit disappointing to me as the turbo petrol would be areal barn stormer , not that I have anything against the TDI but an option of petrol would be nice . That way we could dispense with the dramas of EGR's DPF,s etc that seemed to plague the T5.1
