It'd probably only be the petrol engine found in the Amarok, Golf GTI and Tiguan.

Can usually arrange these things at dealer level, or even better, save a fair whack of money and get it done yourself after you pick it up.
True, however a Crewvan has ducting to rear passengers and rhs sliding door so works out cheaper if factory supplied or in the case of some air to the 2nd row too much work to try yourself.

I popped into my closest VW dealer and had a quick chat.
I explained that my ideal van would be a Crewvan, wing doors, tdi400, dsg, 4motion. This because it comes as a 5 seater, side glass in mid section leaving only 2 mores sets optioned for back 2, rhs sliding door, some ducting to rear passengers etc.. and is a fair bit cheaper then having to order a van and factory/third party all those options. Sadly this isn't even possible in Australia however it was mentioned that an order was going to be placed for upto 20 vans by a customer and they were going to see if it might be possible to run my requirement passed VW and see if they would order it.

Another thought, though very expensive, is to order a LWB Multivan which is now available here and see what it would cost to change the liftgate to wing doors? And Multi's can come with the tdi450.

That way we could dispense with the dramas of EGR's DPF,s etc that seemed to plague the T5.1
VW Oz discontinued Petrol even ealier, during later T5.1 year, as not many people were buying it due to perceived scare of high fuel consumption, and the perceived scare of having to use 98RON fuel. I am getting 12.8-13.5 L on mine mixed cycle. 9.0-10.0 freeway.
It is a shame they discontinued it, as performance is not the only adavantage: the pertol is much quieter and does not vibrate at idle.

But, if you go LWB Multivan, then you have to drop the requirement for 4-motion as it is not available in that combination. Also, remember that all LWB Multivans miss out on curtain airbags for rows 2 and 3.

yes I get about the same with my 2.0 petrol engine and I do like the no frills systems no DPF to annoy the crap out of me and best so far my old girl who getsa hard life on the road has now clocked over 290000 kays not bad for a small donk , and its been as reliable as hell compared to some diesel ones I have heard about with only low kays on the clock as well .My wifes T5 2.5 Turbo had to have the intercooler pipe repaired kept popping off turbo itself failed only 130000 kays broken air con mount water pump on and on it goes , my 2.0 one / set of spark plug leads and new clutch at 180000 kays and that is all , yes its underpowered hence the like for a turbo but it is reliable .
