They seemed to like both the new twin turbo 132Kw engine AND the new DSG (dry clutch 7 speed).

Gee, the life of the model: 12 years, that means I will have 7 years to save for my new van when my finance contract runs out in next February .

Reading that road test, me thinking how many and what kind of gadgets we will have in our next vans in 7 years?

I sure hope we can get all of those options in Australia, ie Dynaudio sound system (the standard sound system in current T5s is terrible), blind spot warning system, cornering lamps etc.

Please VW Australia!!!

Preferably for RHD as well. VW did do a LHD Bi-Xenon (courtesy of Projektzwo) for the pre-facelift T5, but unfortunately they never got around to doing a RHD version.

Just a minor thing, on some of the Transporter interior dash shots I've noticed the cig. lighter is fitted to the dash panel itself and there's only a single cup holder behind a narrower pull out drawer and on other shots it looks like the current T5 setup.

PS. Just listened to a phone message on my mobile from the local VW dealer asking if I had further considered a new van purchase.

Correct me if I'm wrong however are there no specs/pricing info from VW Australia yet. LOL, not sure how I can make a decision when I don't know what I can order or how much it will cost.
