Well today I had some time spare so I decided to replace all 4 rotors and pads on my work T5 [well the rotors have been on there since new and its got over 200.000 kays on board ] . I will first give a big thumbs up to Matt at GSL Rallysports here in Brissie , he had the full set of rotors and pads in stock even had the wear sensor on them unlike the last set of genuine VW ones fitted a few years ago . Matt is a forum sponsor so I supported him over VW any day , price for the lot $641.26 . Two hours later and all done and dusted , the rotors had a nice 1.2 ml lip so they were in dire need of replacing , the pads were in pretty good shape although the drivers side was right down almost to the metal strange that as the passengers front was still quite good Hmmmm . Anyway good outcome .

Used GSL for the T4 brakes (front pads) and will certainly do so again.
The pads were Remsa and the discs were Freemax I am very impressed they grab with just alight touch and have great feel . I would highly recommend them and GSL Rallysport. Howard PS much cheaper than VW as well last time I bought rotors and pads back in the early 2000,s they were around $1200 .
Four new rotors and full set of pads for $641.26 yep a bargain in my opinion , installed myself around two hours . Will admit here you need a long extension bar to crack the two main bolts holding the caliper to the hub etc , every thing else was a breeze . Even made a special fitting to wind back the rear pistons , I used an old socket and cut down the sides to leave two locators each side which lines up with the groove in the top of the piston then with a G clamp tighten it down and rotate at the same time as it screws in backwards . Front ones just close up with the clamp only no rotation needed , don,t forget to take the cap off the brake fluid resevoir as it will over flow place container to catch excess .
I got RDA pads and rotors for $422.20. About 2 hours to fit. Rears required a bit more fiddling then the fronts. Not impressed with the feel of them though. No real bite, they require a lot pf pedal force to stop. My wife said she felt unsafe. Hopefully they improve.

Bedding them in right at the start is very important , some high speed runs and stops until they smoke if I remember rightly .
Just a quick update. My brakes have come good. They are feeling like normal brakes again. Probably 300km on them. Funny that.....the instructions that came with said they would take about that long.
