    My11 multivan daytime running lights

Had a phone call today from VW customer service to advise the MY11 spec multivan comfort line has only one change from the MY10, being the daytime running lights. And dealers should have the information as from today.

now to find out what they look like.

    Has anyone got any pictures?

Apparently, the website will be updated with MY11 details by the end of the week, I hope this is true

My 2010 T'Porter appears to have globes near the headlights that are 25Watts. Now I've tried everything possible to try and get these to illuminate but with no success.

Are these the DRLs ( daytime running lights ) that have not been switched on thru the CBus (because thay are not a legal req)

and can I turn them on somehow ( and then put 130 watters in!!)

Nope, much like the passenger side fog light... They don't actually do anything :p

Must have been cheaper and easier just to leave them there.

Any my11's out there yet? That might be able to show the daytime running lights in operation?

Nope, they can't be turned on in a MY10. according to Volkswagen Australia there's no provision for it unfortunately (i've been led to believe they're not even wired up...)

Spot-on. On the MY10, the globes are there, but that's it. There's no wiring, and the On-Board Power Supply/BCM is different.

It was only a matter of time before VW Australia ticked the box to have them fitted. It's a good move, as too many people were annoyed about having a spare globe.

Shouldn't be too hard to run a relay off accessories, through one of the spare? dash switches, down to the lights.

Just put your own wiring in!
