    Multivan T5 door lever broken....?

    Hi there,

Wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for prying the interior panel off the drivers side door? Please?

The door lever is broken (have to wind down the window to unlock the drivers side door) and seems to have unhooked itself from the cable. Just wanted to have a look at what was going on to see if it's fixable.....

    Cheers!

I'm not sure if you can remove the door trim from the inside with the doors shut.
The dealers, crash repairers and the locksmiths could have more ideas how to open it.
Also consider take it to the dealer rather than damage the door trim DIY, it can be cheaper. (but get the quote first, just in case that they would need to brake the door trim anyway)

I have had this part replace twice under warranty, I know that the door card is a large plastic part and were it breaks is a very small section.

Next time it breaks i am going to get the new part reinforced.

Can help you on pulling it a part but know how frustrated you must be.

If I understand the OP, you can still open the door but need to use the outside handle?

The UK Brickyard forum has a detailed step by step procedure for removing the trim. The only "tricky" bit is the flimsy cover on the interior door pull. Be very careful taking it off as it is easy to snap...

Maybe I wasn't clear...I can get the door open. I wondered if anyone had any tips for getting the door trim off to see what was happening with the lever? Cheers!

ive seen a broken one of these and their really isnt a way to fix it, the area that breaks is plastic welded to the whole door card, it wasnt my car so i couldnt find a way that would last and work like standard other than replace the panel

Before it breaks again and i run out of warranty, I am thinking about bonding some plastic to either side of where the cable it clipped in, do you think that this would work ???
