Multivan T5 2009 replacement remote key fob
I've lost both remotes that came with the van (long story) but have two keys that unlock/start car.
i saw somewhere on the interwebs that you can program a blank remote in some VWs using 2 keys:
- insert one key in the ignition and turn to on position
- insert second key in drivers door and turn to lock position
- listen for 3 horn beeps
- press remote button. listen for another horn beep that confirms programming
Has anyone got this to work on a T5 multivan? I tried it but didn't get the 3 beeps. I don't have a blank remote either.
I was quoted $600 in Sydney (not a dealer) to get two remote/key fobs programmed, coded and cut. Anyone know of a cheaper alternative?
Thanks
