Have you considered remounting the sensors into the bullbar ? As long as they are on the absolute front of the vehicle they should still work as standard, shouldn't they ?
Folks in my quest to consider a bullbar for the multivan they tell me they make one for a t5 but not the multivan, its amazing how some places lose business because of unfamiliarity. Anyway I eventually spoke with a group in Brisbane wh say that they don't specifically make a bullbar for the comfortline only becasue of the sensors, but in fact if we want to turn off the parking sensors we can have the same polished alloy airbag that is made for the t5.
So my question is, can just the rear sensors be decomissioned on the multivan or do I have to decomisssion all of them and go and get some sort of aftermarket sensors. Those sensors are very handy when parking, so I would if possible like to keep the ones on the back mainly.
thanks

Greg is on to something here.....shouldn't be too hard (although the extra time to do will cost money) to fit them into the face of the bar.
However, there is a risk that the extra holes may compromise any airbag certification the bar might have.
An alternative option to drilling big holes may be to mount the sensors in sealed (IP66 rated) plastic or die-cast alloy enclosures mounted (screwed) onto the top face of the bar. These enclosures are available from electronics suppliers like Jaycar and Altronics....advantage of the alloy ones is that they can be powdercoated to any colour you care to name....along with the bar itself.
Smallest you can get is 64x58x35mm...
