Multivan with nearly 400,000kms on clock!

    G'day,

There is a black multivan for sale on carsales with nearly 400,000kms on the clock.

A few questions if you would care to Indulge me.....

Risks involved with something with this many km's on board.

What are the major Issues to look out for.

What is it truly worth? It appears there are several scuffs, dints and Internal marks reflective of the km's travelled.

Maybe the owner is a member on here who can give a greater insight??

    Thanks

    Gordy

Hm, I wouldn't buy it for that much, that's for sure, also it's an automatic.

I personally got a better price than that on my one with 200K, you can nab them sub 20K if your keen enough. But if it has good expenditure (suspension etc) and had the recalls done, it could be ok - or a timebomb!

Hi Guys......enlighten me please...............one of you mentions the 'AXE' engine and the other 'recalls' ???

I just posted a thread asking questions about double cabs............. are the 'AXE' engine and 'recall' issues applicable to the double cabs as well and if so what are these issues?

    Thanks...........

My T5 is 2004 build and I don't remember any recall. My reason for not buying it would be A/T and high price for worn out vehicle at 400,000km.
