    Multivan Mats

Hi All, took delivery of new Multivan yesterday and it has no mats in the rear. The dealer said he would include mats but apparently that only meant the front. He said they don't sell rear mats as there is no constant seat position and any mats would impede movement of the table, seats etc.

Has anybody come up with a satisfactory solution for rear mats? Taking the van to the country with the kids this w/e and would like to save the carpet from hundreds of muddy footprints.

I did two things I cut a piece of carpet to the rear section behind the bench seat for the boot area and I bought a set of cheap mats two large and two small mats in the pack and they just get moved around the back. Although the seats move on the rails and turn around to face front or back it doesn't happen much after the thrill wears off. The kids just sit in the arrangement all facing each other. I placed a large one piece off cut of carpet across the rear as well in front of the bench seat as well. this reduces the mud etc from the shoes. The big problem I have is keeping the kids feet off the seat that face them. That really wears the seat edge.

    Enjoy

I did what Coastie did. Set the seats in the final position and cut out some carpet to fit both the rear cargo area and the passenger section. Works a treat for the young kids I have!

Vanners there is a full length rear mat.
It allows for full adjustment of rear seats without moving it.

It is one piece with strips running from front to rear like a fork to allow seats to be adjusted.

Not cheap around $250 let me know and i can did up exact price and part number.

Old thread, but exactly what I was looking for - I would appreciate a part number.

Also - is that just for the area between the captains chairs and bench seat, or is there one also for the cargo area behind the bench seat (which I would think is harder given the back moves)?

I have a full mat set that was option when purchased last sept. It does not go behind bench seat.

One word of warning, if you have multifunction, the table has very little clearance over original carpet and would not run over the top of middle runner of carpet set. We had the middle runner cut off, edged and velcro strips added to strip and main mat - we can now easily take out middle runner when we have the table installed.

Ah, that's interesting - I'm also going to get the rubber mats for the front and, if possible, up to row 3 (I don't have the multifunction table). Tennysonian, how does your carpet set fit around the captains' seats and how far does it go towards to the bench seat?

For the boot, my further research shows there seems to be 3 options:

A reversible boot mat (part 7E5 061 210), that I've seen also described as being moulded foam.

    A boot liner (part 7E5 061 160)

    A boot tray (part 7E 5 061 161).

I can't find dimensions anywhere online, but the pictures look like the reversible mat is deeper than either the liner or tray. Has anyone got one who can shed light on the depth? (I'm also trying to get more info from VGA directly).

Something I find cheap and easy, Bunnings sell polypropylene matting, I think it's classed as marine carpeting
I use the dark grey one, fairly thin and very durable.
I put a fair bit of gear in the back (captains seats out and bench foward to the middle) and it works brilliantly
You can buy a few metres of it and cut a few different shapes depending on where you're going to place the seats
Personally, I just leave the original Multivan mat in the passenger front, a bloody thick durable rubber one under me, and nothing in the back when I'm carting folks around. I find the carpet inside these vans comes up easily with a quick vac and a spot clean

I was going to suggest marine carpet as well. Very durable and handles wet shoes very well.

Does anyone have the part number for the front textile floor mats for RHD (Australia)? They are cheaper to order from VW dealers in Germany with postage to Australia, than the local VW dealer .... but I can only find the part number for the LHD drive versions (7E1061275 by the way). Thank you! I think it might be H2061245 (rhd)_ thanks
