    Not more torque in Diesel: Miltivan TDI 340 has 340 NM whcih is less than Multivan TSI 350 with 350 NM.
    TDI also has more noise, vibration, narrow power band, not much power in reserve at higher revs, possible shorter lifespan due to ERG, DPF and clogging issues.

    Plenty of 2.0L TDI400 or TDI420 also TDI450 engines in commercial range. The TDI engines life is debatable, if looked after properly they will last many hundreds of thousands kilometres, the same can’t be said about the TSI engines especially if you fit them in commercial vans and they also have their own fair share of serious problems.
