    Mag lock sockets

Does or has anyone know how to remove the mag lock socket thats in the boot of a Multivan?

I have managed to purchase a multivan after nearly a year of searching and i would like to remove the 12v socket in the rear.

Just in case nobody has a way of doing this does anyone know where you can purchase the mag lock parts?

    Thanks Rob

Just realized I have spelled sockets incorrectly can any of the admin team change my rubbish spelling?

    Sorted Rob.

What's a mag lock socket? I have some sockets for removing locking wheel nuts. I take that's not what you are after though.

Its a magnetic 12v power supply in the rear of my multivan.

I have eventually managed to remove it and put a standard 12 power point in but would still like to know where to purchase these type of sockets?

    Cheers for your reply Gavin.

Did they look anything like this?

If so they are a Hella product. Go the the Hella site Hella Australia Pty Ltd , open the product catalogue, select accessories then electrical connectors.

Alternative to a cigarette lighter socket. Looks neat except you need to carry an adapter.... Real handy.

Unless you make up new plugs for your "stuff"... sure it means they now can't go else where, but who cares if it's only you who uses it anyway

(My multi has normal sockets, what year model is your with these different ones)
