I had the exact same issue. Did you test the fuse or replace it with another just to be sure?
Today while working on the stereo I noticed a "Lamp "warning symbol come on in the instrument cluster , so I have brake lights / indicators headlights and number plate lights and rear fog lamp but no rear or front parking lights . Also the interior lights only work when switched to the on position not from the doors , all fuses were checked and none blown . Any ideas please .2012 T5 Transporter

Which bloomin fuse I used the guide in the forum but for the love of me cant find which fuse to check , I did remove all the fuses yesterday and was certain there were no blown ones under the seat and in the dashboard . Damn VW not putting fuse locations in the van or book is so wrong , they had 5 years before the T5.1 was released and they still can,t get their s***t together
I feel for you. I pulled every fuse in my T5 the day the indicators stopped functioning.
They restarted out of pure fear, I believe. I was getting somewhat upset by then.
Same here it,s really getting me down as we are going away on holiday Friday and it will stop us from going anywhere at night until its fixed, the really weird part is two things . Last night when it happened the interior lights were flashing off and on and I could hear a clicking sound behind the light switch in the dash , also the car gives the audible ding to say you,ve left the parking lights on and the dash lights still come on as well but nothiing else . Really weird .

Ok genius time once again , us old folks do have memories of the days of old and when we use our longstanding ability to defeat and overcome . Ok so I had the van diagnosed to day and it seems the high tech BCM has gone to lunch ! Typical two days before going on holiday so I worked out that if the number plate lights were still working there had to be a voltage going there . So I purchased a resistor relay and used the number plate light wire to trigger the relay as there was a 12Volt separate wire to power the relay there already for my trailer set up and connected the wire from the outlet of the relay to the tail light wire , VOILA it worked ! even the interior lights started working again as per normal . The BCM as it turns out is EX Germany at around $995 and they even said its on back order over there as well , so as long as this set up works I will wait for VW to get one in or source a second hand one . I have been advised not to just remove and replace the old one as the guys at my local specialist will need to read and copy all the codes first from the existing one and then transfer them to the new BCM . So if anyone knows of any T5.1 Transporters being wrecked please let me know as I have the part numbers to ensure its the correct super seeded version .
