    Kombi Beach

    Hi all
Have a Kombi Beach that I'm thinking about selling. My question is, I've had a multivan seat installed and complianced so it's currently a 7 seater, but I also have all the camping kit as well...not that it's easy to remove the 2 seat bench though! Anybody have any thoughts on what would be more attractive to a purchaser, and get a higher price, a pretend multivan, or a beach?

Other question...second battery has died after a long and faithful life. Does anyone know which battery fits? I assume it's under the drivers seat, but I guess a quick check of the manual would confirm that!

I would leave it as it is as you may find both configurations' would be attractive to some buyers . Let the buyer decide which way he wants the van , advertise it as able to be changed to suit .

Still got it, and still toying with the idea of selling as I think a multivan would better suit these days. But I do love it still!

    Hi,
I agree with the earlier posts that when it comes time to sell, if you can advertise both configurations you may get more potential buyers as it gives them options. Especially if you can get photos of both compete setups to really paint the picture.
From my own personal perspective (as i'm currently looking for a Kombi Beach), the rear Multivan seats would need to be taken out and then not used so I could get full function out of the Beach. Whereas it may suit other people.
    Goodluck with your decision

Well these days there a few specialist companies rebuilding those autos and just around half VW price as well , I know I had ours done a few years back and then also found another place that does them as well . Both on the southside Brissy . PM me if you want their names .

Thanks for the interest tdi. I have seen that Kombi beach online however I am very keen on getting a manual. The broken transmission isn't ideal however the info from Sunny43.5 could be gold for a prospective buyer who may get the van cheap and fix her on up.

Here are links to two other Beach's i have found (unfortunately one has done over 550,000 km's, and one is an auto)
Volkswagen Kombi Beach | Campervans & Motorhomes | Gumtree Australia Yarra Ranges - Menzies Creek | 1135602071
Vw Kombi Beach | Campervans & Motorhomes | Gumtree Australia Mosman Area - Mosman | 1138788727
