    Intermittent unlock!

Lately we have noticed that the passenger door of the T5 Highline sometimes does not unlock when prompted by the key pushbutton. When this happens it cannot be "forced" by the door unlock button on the drivers door, not can it be "forced" up by pulling on the button. The only thing to do is to use the key buttons to fully lock all doors and then unlock again. It usually comes good after a couple of goes.
Any thoughts as to what the issue might e?
It's due for it's 5 year service shortly,so will get it looked into then, but I would rather like to have some idea what is wrong.

    Cheers

I've got no idea, shogun, sorry.

Mine just decided tonight not to turn on the interior lights when I open the doors.

I'm getting the feeling they're a constant piece of work

Have you had any electrical work done recently? Mine occassionally decides to unlock the read wing door on the inital remote unlock press when it should be only driver's door followed by all unlock on the second press, only thing I can think of is the fixed mobile phone cradle/coupler installation as it didn't happen before this. Should add my T5 is canbus fitted.

My rear wing door door has always (in the couple of weeks I've owned it) unlocked with the drivers door. Thought it was normal.
Previous owner reinstalled OEM double din before I bought it, and removed same phone installation.

Shogun, I had this exact same issue few months back, except mine wasn't intermittent.Passenger door wouldn't unlock from keyfob or internal/external handle at all.Couldn't fill with diesel , so off to dealer to fix. They ran their scan, said nothing wrong after,"That'll be $50 thanks"

Does the front passenger door and side sliding door remain locked when this happens? I'm led to believe that if you have the central locking programmed by the dealer for single press drivers door unlock, double press all unlock then only the drivers door should unlock first. Funnily today it's worked exactly this way, whereas last week it didn't. IIRC it was after a full phone kit was fitted, (i.e: cradle, antenna coupler, control box, speaker and windscreen glass mounted antenna) that it started to play up.

Correct, Tornado. Both sliding doors and the passenger door remains locked, with the drivers door and rear wing door unlocked with first press. Second press unlocks all the other doors.
Suits me, I'm grabbing gear out of the back constantly, so it works for me.
But I suppose it'll do something different next week!

In my case a double press of the key fob button unlocks all doors, with the exception of the passenger door when it fails.
We have just had the powered door mechanism fixed on the passenger side sliding door. This didn't happen before this work.

Same fault again, passenger door had intermittent unlocks, eventually wouldn't open at all.
Removed drivers seat and resoldered 3-wire connection (blue/ red stripe to black) near control unit.

Eventually got door to unlock but was very noisy in operation.
Decided to remove door lock and lube. This involved removing the door trim and internal carrier
    All good again
