The thing that goes against it is the length of the bonnet. For the same overall length, a semi-bonneted van or forward control van can carry a greater payload volume. It is the same reason that we only have cab-over light rigid trucks. It's a serious space penalty. After all, the purpose of these vehicles is to carry cargo.

The one on the left at the very end of the commercial is very VW inspired looking but not sure about dimensions .

This one 2014 NV200 Compact Cargo Van | Nissan Commercial Vehicles okay it seems that this one is probably around the size of a Caddy 1 cubic meter smaller in storage area than a T5
