how to tell difference between 2.5tdi

Options sticker, look at the driver seat base top view facing kind of front side of the base.

The AXD is 96kW and AXE is 128kW.
Both had turbo, Sunny.

Apologies to both Transporter and others , I am not sure where i got the info of the 96kw from I just presumed it was non turbo .

Interesting, my 07 Transporter had chrome T and red DI, MY 08 Multivan had all red TDI
My Transporter had only a single headlight, is that the case for all Transporters, the Caravelle and Multivan all had twin headlights
Only the noise changes when you floor a 96kw whereas a 128 will also make more noise but actually go faster !

My new 2007 (June 2007 build) Transporter 128kW 5cyl had the 3 red TDI badges.

Ask the owner to look on his rego papers. The AXD or AXE should be a prefix on the engine no.

Originally there is also a sticker on the rocker cover which will include the engine prefix, an ID sticker on the dash cover under the
driver's side, and a sticker in the owners manual in the glovebox.
