How much did you sell your old T5 or T5 4Motion for?

As the title says,
I'm interested to hear from those T5ers who sold their T5 (4Motion) and maybe what did you replaced it with when you needed a bigger van?

The new LWB T5 just won't do it for me.

Putting our 2004 T5 on the market any day soon SWB 128KW Turbo Tiptronic 145.000 kays fully sound proofed custom trimmed electric built in sliding sunroof . Hoping to get around $16k for it . I reckon its worth every cent considering lots of bog standard vans with higher kays and no fit outs sell for around the same $$ [/IMG]

I brought my 07 LWB van in 08 with 17000Kms on it.
Just getting it set up nicely now, and 125000KMs on it.
Wont sell it soon. Its such a great vehicle.
Any van lined by Sunny would be a great buy.

Timely question, as I'm now more seriously looking at replacing my T5 which has 207,000km and I'm finding I'm using my trailer more often when I'd probably be better in a bigger van especially as more and more of our deliveries are into Melb. cbd and one site, the Emporium building has two 25 tonne elevators to lower delivery vans/trucks into the basement loading bay. I prefer the Sprinter over the Crafter, just on looks alone if for no other reason although there is also a whole new range of euro's coming soon.

Edit: dealer offered my approx. $8K for my van back in Nov. '13.

Yeah, dealer wants to make another $8,000 on yours.
I personally like the look (especially from the front) of the Crafter, but under the bonnet I'd prefer the Sprinter, which has a chain driven 2.2L engine with more power and for similar money. I can get the 316 120kW MWB Sprinter with RVC, satnav, fog lights, front bench seat with a huge storage under the seat, multifunction steering wheel and a nice smart trip computer (not a obsolete red display) for $58,457 on the road. If I'd go for Crafter with 2.0L TDI400 it would be a factory other and I miss on zero% finance deal.
I've roadtested Sprinter 313 with 305Nm engine and I was impressed how well it went, though it was empty, but 316 has 360Nm torque, so it should drive when loaded as 313 Sprinter empty. Other option I've looked at is a fraction smaller Iveco with 2.3LCRD or 3.0LCRD with a lot of power and torque, proper chassis and the suspension set up I'd prefer. Though, the past reliability record of the Iveco holds me back. But, this latest add says they should last the distance.

I know it's too earlier but there has been some pre-release press on the all-new Fiat Ducato, Renault Master , Peugeot triplets. Plus all-new Transit 2 tonners are coming soon. The smaller Transit Custom shames the T5 for standard features.
I've said it a few times however if VW released a T5 with the Toureg V6 tdi/8 speed auto/4motion I'd be racing to the dealers.

I saw it and sat in it, but didn't take it for the test drive. It was $38,000 on the road, the load area appeared bigger than in my SWB 4Motion, very modern looking cabin, but I'd like to see how this Transit will look like when it wears out a bit. From the tech specs sheet it was nothing special I think it had 95kW and 300Nm - I had Vito112 manual with the same specs engine in 2002, it didn't drive that well when I loaded up.

There is a new Iveco coming in 2014 that looks really good, I have to find out when it comes to AU. The current Iveco has heated driver seat and also barn doors which open 270deg as standard. From the tech specs I couldn't find out if their 2.3L engine has DPF or not, they just don't mention that, only says Euro5 emissions. Time for the trip to Iveco dealer to find out.

Yep...strongly considering the forthcoming Transit, Daily or Ducato as the next dual cab. Not taken with either the Sprinter or Crafter especially given the fact that they are now old hat, developmentally speaking. Damn shame they are all so exey.

I'm not that happy with the faux commercial character of the mid-sizers any more and their retreat into small station wagon drivelines...

I got offered $7K for the T4 three years ago...and the last dealer I showed it too recently shook his head and said that he'd prefer not to make an offer because it would not be worth my while. Given the 6-8 month wait on a new one anyway....

You're right, but Ducato somehow doesn't do it for me.
I'll see what I can get for my 4Motion, but anything less than $15,000 and I will strongly consider keep it forever as a back up and in 20years time get much more for it than today.
