How long did u have to wait for your Multivan?

    Hi All,

Just want to get a feel what's the general waiting period for a customized Multivan. Put in an order with sydney dealer on 25th November 2010, it's 6 months tomorrow and all dealer has is it's with 'Patrick autocare'. On top of the wait, dealer also stuffed up by forgetting to include reverse camera and PKD on the order form which I hope it will be shipped and remedied soon after taking delivery.

Not a happy shopper thus far.

    Mike

Ordered 1 July 2010 and picked up the Multivan with close on $12K of factory fitted options on 25 Jan 2011. Waited almost 7 months all up.

No fault of the dealer who was brilliant through it all.

    What is PKD?

We love our Van and it was worth the wait ..... the only car we'd trade it for is a TSI Multivan ....

There is/was a pretty awesome black 4motion 132KW tdi at Slavens in Canberra with the sports suspension 18", multiflex board/goodnight pack, etc if anyone is keen on not waiting...

That waiting time is normal to me. In August 2004 I ordered just a 4Motion van and picked it up in February 2005. Still enjoy it every time I drive it. So, for me it was definitely worth to wait for.

First order placed in September 2010 , first arrival date was meant to be April 2011 but changed our mind and up spec to hipline in Jan luckily one was already in the cycle in our colour. Picked up on Last Friday was about 12 days between leaving the boat and delivery. I am so stoked with it. Besides waiting nearly 8 months and 3 years to convince my wife to buy it. Worth it really. Hang in there!

    Thanks for the replies guys.

The Van is seating at the dealer's yard and waiting for the reverse camera and it's installation.

It's actually PDC => Parking Distance Control Sensors which dealer says have been installed and hooked up to the RNS 510.

Good thing is that PDC is not an option .... its standard on all Multivans ..... and it hooks up to the RNS510 by default, no dealer intervention required ..... dealer telling a few porkies here .....

Even better is the fact that you will be in your Van very soon !

Do you have the auto headlights working? Uses the same sensor I believe, also you need to activate the auto wipers on the wiper stalk, does not work without that.
