How long did u have to wait for your Multivan?

Yes we are the dealer & NO I am not telling a few porkies , SORRY if the truth hurts ,but as it is on worldwide web lets get facts correct , & YES we ordered a highly optioned 103 comfortline for Seafarer Mike & yes as a new dealer 1/7/10 we in learning process PLUS during Mikes order process MY 11 Vans options came available with Reverse camera standard & not option in Highline as it was in MY10 & yes mike did not want 2010 build so he specified must be 2011 build which made his wait longer than normal by his OWN choice in waiting time being longer than what is portrayed & we found half way through the wait process that reverse camera not standard on comfortline with Sat Nav but is standard on Highline & naturally assumed by VW paperwork MY 11 reverse camera standard with Sat Nav but how incorrect it was as it turned out , so we immediately ordered factory camera which we still waiting on & it will be fitted on arrival & seafarer was offered choice take now & fit camera on arrival but he decided NO leave van in our yard till finished as he ordered & that his individual & democcratic right & choice . YES we have sold & ordered more multivans than any dealer in Australia this last 12 months . I am so sorry we made an error & factory never picked oit up in model year change but when he accepts delivery it will be as ordered. We live & we learn & that is the truth the whole truth & nothing but the truth, sorry but I am only human

Actually if you read that which you quoted from me, I never questioned the RVC. Always assumed it was just a missed option.

Where I believe you were telling porkies, which your long paragraph did not address at all, was around the PDC. PDC was always standard on all the Multivans and no MY confusing could arrise. The OP clearly stated that you confirmed that the PDC sensors was installed and hooked it up to the SatNav. Not 100% clear whether you claimed that you did it or whether it was factory fitted because originally the OP claimed it was not.

If you told the OP that you did it then that was a clear lie never mind a porkie ....

Please be aware no lies were told I never told anyone we fit any reverse or front sensors & I have no doubt they are standard & not that it any of your business Sharkie but be aware I sell I do purchase order & sadly stock controller presses buttons on computer & it got ordered incorrectly as I stated & it will be corrected, & as we learned from this experience AFTER VW alloacate a stock number & option list we now send that to buyer for verification signature, it is bad enough having drama with one on one client, let alone outside influences on forums who see no contract giving unsolicited advice & expertise when not involved in purchase decision, our problem will be fixed by us & fyi options as per order pasted below to prove nothing about PDC listed anywhere I had no doubt it was part of every multivan, we sell & stock more than any other dealer in Australia>

.... dealer also stuffed up by forgetting to include reverse camera and PKD on the order form which I hope it will be shipped and remedied soon after taking delivery.

It's actually PDC => Parking Distance Control Sensors which dealer says have been installed and hooked up to the RNS 510.

Good thing is that PDC is not an option .... its standard on all Multivans ..... and it hooks up to the RNS510 by default, no dealer intervention required ..... dealer telling a few porkies here .....

So, after a conversation with Wes, this was a case of a slight misunderstanding of PDC and RVC interaction by Mike. PDC is standard and was factory fitted and RVC was missed from the order keyed into the system after a few changes to the order.

And as to unsolicited advice ..... well, posting on a public forum and asking for advice is equal to soliciting advice .... bearing in mind that this is the internet afterall and all internet advice needs to be taken with a grain of salt ....

It seems this thread had went on much longer than it should during my absence. Apologies for getting Sharkie into an unnecessary **** fight.

As mentioned by Wes, the van is in his yard waiting for the RVC plus to be installed, god knows what 'plus' stands for. Anyway all that matters now is get the van ready, pay the money, wife happy and I get on with my life.

This thread should now end.
